Certificate III in Irrigation Technology
Our Certificate III in Irrigation Technology is a nationally accredited qualification, tailored to deliver a multi-platform learning experience, focusing on everything Irrigation. This qualification is considered the starting point or gateway, into the irrigation industry. This course entails everything you need to learn to operate and maintain irrigation systems in a wide range of professional environments.

Irrigation Installer
The Irrigation Installer course reflects the skills and knowledge required to become a Certified Irrigation Installer (CII).
Our training course provides an in-depth irrigation training program that is aligned with and assessed against the AHCSS00096 - Irrigation Installer Skill Set, which forms part of our Certificate III in Irrigation Technology AHC32419 (Trade Level) qualification. This training course will be presented by highly experienced and qualified professionals who are actively working in leading organisations of the industry. The program also engages subject matter experts for specialised topics such as hydraulics, troubleshooting, and basic irrigation design, to name a few.
REGISTER for Upcoming TrainingElectrofusion & Butt Welding
This course covers the skills and knowledge required to weld polyethylene (PE) plastic pipes using electrofusion. It applies to welding of pipes and pipelines undertaken in the field and in factory conditions. Pipelines may be for transmission of water, gas or other liquids. Irrigation Australia will deliver this training in support of using product and equipment provided by Vinidex. This Partnership combines Vinidex’s industry knowledge and experience with Irrigation Australia’s ability to deliver high quality nationally accredited qualifications and courses.

Our Irrigation Systems Auditor training course is nationally accredited and offers candidates the skills and knowledge to become a Certified Irrigation Systems Auditor as per skill set AHCSS00099 Irrigation Systems Auditor. This skill set provides the skills and knowledge required to assess irrigation systems and site operations, collect and manage data, analyse and present research information, and prepare irrigation systems audit reports within the irrigation industry.

Irrigation Insights FREE
Our Introduction to Irrigation (Part A) online course is designed to provide foundational knowledge for anyone entering the industry. Whether you’re new to landscaping, a property manager looking to improve water efficiency, working in an irrigation shop or simply curious about irrigation, this course offers practical, easy-to-understand insights to get you started. The course is not accredited but the content is based on Certificate II level units.
Introduction to Irrigation Part B Agricultural
Cert III level units with an Ag flavour. Topics include types of systems including farm systems, centre pivots, drip irrigation, under tree sprinklers, filtration, fertigation and chemigation, pumps, water meters, soils, monitoring technology. Approximately 5 hours to complete. There is very little overlap between these two Part B courses.
Introduction to Irrigation Part B Landscape
For those who’ve perhaps been around a little longer, the course is not accredited but the content is based on Cert III level units relevant to an open space/ urban environment. Topics include commercial systems, backflow prevention, filtration, pumps, simple design, soils and plants, basic wiring, hydraulics and pressure and water efficiency. There is very little overlap between these two Part B courses.
Introduction to Irrigation Part A & Part B Subscription Package
We’re pleased to introduce a new online training subscription available to Irrigation Australia company members from early June. Building on the success of our Introduction to Irrigation – Part A self-paced course, Introduction to Irrigation Part B - Landscape and Introduction to Irrigation Part B - Agricultural is now available. While individual enrolments will still be available, company members can now purchase a 12-month subscription that provides unlimited access for all staff to all three courses. This flexible, self-paced training is an excellent way to upskill new and existing team members across a range of irrigation concepts.
