Dave Cameron

Irrigation Australia

Dave joined Irrigation Australia in 2022 after spending 11 years as CEO of the Queensland Water Directorate, a membership body for Queensland's water and sewerage service providers. Before this Dave worked as Business Development Manager for the Directorate, 8 years as the General Manager for the CRC for Coastal Zone, Estuary and Waterway Management along with consulting roles and various Queensland Government agencies.

Dave is a passionate, long term Association leader committed to delivering member services and reputable training, building on the successful Irrigation Australia business.

Sam O'Brien

Joining the team in 2024, Sam brings over 30 years of experience in the Irrigation and Pumping Industry. Sam first started his career with an irrigation equipment distributor working in customer service. He then owned and operated a retail irrigation outlet in Brisbane, QLD for 15 years before transitioning into the corporate landscape holding key management, sales and technical positions with International manufacturers. Sam’s passion and long term commitment to the industry will help drive Irrigation Australia’s initiatives and program.

Naomi Carragher

Naomi joined Irrigation Australia in November 2022. Naomi joins us with over 13 years’ experience working in a customer service company. Naomi’s experience includes management of over 60 accounts and working with a team of Graphic Designers, Copywriters and Communications Officers both nationally and internationally in Asia. Naomi also has over 2 years’ experience working at the Queensland Water Directorate organising and managing events, maintaining databases, working on marketing campaigns, and building and maintaining relationships with members and suppliers.

Marike Froneman

Marike joined Irrigation Australia in February 2019. Previously she was the Accountant for a large Australian irrigation franchise. Marike has held senior roles including Auditor, Financial Controller, Cost Accountant and Assistant Finance Manager working with auditors, engineering, environmental and information and technology firms during the span of her career. Marike brings a high level of professionalism to the Irrigation Australia team.

Rebecca New

I commenced my journey with Irrigation Australia in January 2020, initially stepping into a role as Administration Support within the WA office. In September 2021, I advanced to the position of WA Projects Officer, where my responsibilities included spearheading various initiatives tailored to WA stakeholders and overseeing the administration of Waterwise Programs across both WA and VIC. This role provided me with invaluable experience and insights into project management and stakeholder engagement. Now, in April 2024, I am thrilled to announce my promotion to the position of Membership Manager. I am excited about the opportunity to further enhance my skills and contribute to the continued growth and success of Irrigation Australia.

Stuart Alexander

Stuart Alexander is an experienced professional in the irrigation industry with over 20 years of hands-on expertise. He has a proven track record of providing high-quality training and development of programs for individuals and organisations across AHC industry sectors. Stuart's in-depth knowledge of irrigation technologies, water management principles, and industry best practices enables him to deliver comprehensive training sessions that effectively address the needs of participants. His passion for a safe work environment, including the Mental Health space of industry make him a sought-after trainer. He has exceptional communication and facilitation skills, providing opportunities for those who choose to make progress and succeed in their chosen career pathway.

Amy Haldane

Amy joined Irrigation Australia in February 2024. Working closely with the training team, Amy will be responsible for ensuring the training side of the business remains compliant with the current standards and frameworks. This will include assisting the team members in all things compliance and quality assurance related, scope management, reporting, maintenance of the state funding contracts and coordinating audits. Amy brings 8 years of RTO experience with her, across roles in administration, training coordinating, and student support/tutoring before finding her place in quality/compliance the last couple of years.

Maddison Coward

Maddison joined Irrigation Australia in January 2023. Maddison brings with her eight years of cultivating strong customer relationships and contributing to company success. Maddison looks after the training enquiries, administration for the training courses, scheduling and promoting of courses as well as enrolments for upcoming courses. Maddison also looks after the Irrigation Australia social media campaigns and marketing for our training courses.

Ashleigh Lang

Ash has taken on the role of junior administration officer. If you call us with an enquiry, it could be Ash’s friendly voice that you hear on the end of the line. As well as supporting members’ general enquiries, she’s responsible for a range of tasks including managing the certification program, updating web content, supporting the admin team in preparing training courses and distributing online store orders. Ash has experience in retail and customer service and is enjoying the new experience of an office environment.

Madeleine Farmilo

Madeleine joined Irrigation Australia in August 2024. Madeleine provides administration support to the training team for our Registered Training Organisation. Madeleine provides support to our RTO Compliance Officer with compliance reporting and documentation, maintaining accurate and up to date student records and files. Madeleine also provides support to our students, trainers and staff.
