Certification Committee

Our purpose

The purpose of the Irrigation Australia Certification Committee is to oversee governance and ensure a quality assurance process for the Certification program offered by Irrigation Australia. This includes:

• Establishing and managing processes related to the Code of Conduct for certification holders, criteria for program entrants, and continuing professional development.
• Implementing a disputes resolution process and a disciplinary process for breaches of the Code of Conduct.
• Conducting peer reviews or audits of certification holders and auditing the processes for issuing, recording, and promoting certifications.
• Developing and implementing policies, procedures, and systems to maintain the integrity of the certification framework.
• Periodically reviewing and adjusting the skills and knowledge required for each certification.
• Making decisions on recommendations from the Professional Development Committee regarding the certification program.

The committee operates under the oversight of the Irrigation Australia Board, which retains powers over its decisions, ensuring a separation of roles between the program's administration and its governance.
