About Us

Established in 1964, Lincoln Agritech is a multidisciplinary research and development company owned by Lincoln University, that delivers leading-edge science and engineering knowledge and technologies into environmental, primary, processing and new materials applications.
Our passion is to inquire and innovate, to drive new science, and to create novel technologies that will keep our clients at the forefront of their fields. Through a combination of government-funded science programmes, contract research and consultancy; examples of our work can be found throughout New Zealand and internationally - from fundamental research with local and central government on environmental water quality, the delivery of extension workshops in precision agriculture, to the development of bespoke sensor technologies for new high tech product lines.
Lincoln Agritech is a vibrant organisation with over 45 staff, including scientists, research engineers, and software developers, working across our Lincoln and Hamilton sites. Our people work closely with industry, governments, iwi, and communities delivering fresh perspectives and knowledge to leave a lasting legacy of positive change.
