Water Power Echuca Pty Ltd, now trading as Think Water Echuca, was formed in September 1995 after the proprietor, Jon Power was successful in purchasing an existing irrigation business he helped to establish in Echuca in 1989.Jon became interested in water management while studying applied Science (Agriculture) at university and graduated in 1982, commencing employment in 1985 at Milnes Irrigation in Bendigo.
From fairly humble beginnings with two full time staff, a service vehicle and a very understanding wife, the business has grown to its present format situated on 4113.2m2 on Ogilvie Avenue where it has an unrivalled reputation for quality, reliability and after sales service.
Over the years, Think Water Echuca has played a major part in developing irrigation systems during the viticulture expansion period through the 90’s to the mid 2000’s. It created systems for new crops such as olives, tea, almonds etc., and then during the drought years used its expertise to save water by entering the subsurface drip market to irrigate broad-acre crops, using permanent underground drip tube technology.
During this time, the retail side of the business expanded to service the growing township of Echuca/Moama and the many pumps and sprinkler systems required for such a vibrant community living on one of Australia’s best river systems.
