About Us
Fernie Holdings Pty Ltd has been established on the North Coast of NSW since 1988, initially trading as Pump Technology and based in Evans Head. At this point in time the majority of their work was focussed around irrigation and pump sales, maintenance and contract installation.In 1995 we changed our trading name to Rothwells Pump and Irrigation (to better represent the nature of our work), moving the business into a leased premises in Southern Cross Drive, Ballina. From this store we were able to expand into retail sales, while still growing our contract division.
As the demand for our services increased, the need for additional space and a more central location also increased. In 1999 we purchased an industrial block in the Russellton Industrial Estate in Wollongbar and constructed a purpose built industrial shed to suit the nature of our work. (This is the current location of our operation).
In May 2007 Fernie Holdings Pty Ltd became a founding member (one of thirty five shareholders) of a national franchise called Think Water. In simple terms, this gave us significantly better purchasing power, as well as allowing us to take advantage of developing a national brand and our trading name became Think Water Northern Rivers
