Course Overview

This course is designed to provide candidates the knowledge and skills to operate and maintain irrigation pumping systems and install, test and maintain pumping systems to a national standard. The course requires candidates to analyse information and exercise judgement to complete a range of activities that will demonstrate their skill and knowledge with irrigation pumping systems.

Learning Outcomes

  • The ability to determine system types and requirements.
  • Knowledge of different types of irrigation systems.
  • An understanding of pump curves, selection, and installation.
  • Knowledge of how to maintain and test irrigation pumps.
  • Knowledge of how to install and commission irrigation pumps.
  • Hydraulics of irrigation systems, including friction calculations.

Entry Requirements

Students must have standard Language, Literacy and Numeracy skills and will be required to complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy assessment at Certificate III level. All students must comply with the terms and conditions outlined in the Student Handbook.

About Payments

PAYMENT MADE BY INDIVIDUALS: In accordance with the 'Standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015', the maximum amount of fees that may be collected in advance is $1,500. This means that if you are an individual enrolling in a course and paying for it yourself you will be invoiced in instalments, $1,500 prior to commencement of the course and the balance of the training fees separately after the course commences. The only applies to individuals. Companies and Businesses are required to make Full Payment of training fees prior to commencement of the course.
