2. Irrigation Australia Conference and Exhibition - Exhibition Registration Policy Update!
We are writing to notify you about a policy change to the Irrigation Australia Sydney event in September which will now see the exhibition open to the general public at no cost.
The original decision was made on a combination of factors, but primarily designed to meet minimum catering requirements for the venue, respond to feedback from exhibitors from Adelaide about food options for staff as well as a push to ensure that all delegate meals were held in the exhibition space in proximity of exhibitors. We acknowledge however that this change was inadequately communicated and have responded appropriately.
Each exhibitor has been allocated a number of full delegate tickets based on booth size. There are separate charges for any additional staff to attend which include the catering package across the 3 days, and which are based on a 50% discount on full conference registrations. This rate is essentially cost-recovery factoring ICC catering charges and other unavoidable overheads for attendees.A registration portal for exhibition visitors will be open soon.
If you have any questions about these options, please do not hesitate to contact the Conference Organisers via email at irrigation2024@theeventgap.com.au.
3. National Renewables in Agriculture Conference + Expo
This event brings together farmers, agriculture and energy consultants, peak bodies and Government representatives to share stories of on-farm renewables, their business case and discuss what’s driving the transformation of energy use in agriculture.
Large scale solar and wind developments present opportunities for farmers and regional communities if planned well with meaningful engagement around benefit sharing. These topics plus combining farming and solar, termed agrivoltaics, also forms part of the yearly Conference program.
Sessions will feature a range of topics from electric utes, green hydrogen, battery storage, bioenergy, solar pumping, future grid and sharing the benefits when hosting large scale solar and wind farms.Hear from innovative farmers, industry experts, Government and from the research sector.
There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions at the Q&A or networking sessions plus mingle with speakers with a solar wine and light canape event at the end of the day.To find out more, click here for the event flyer or visit the event website here.

6. Irrigation Australia is a proud supporter of TIACS
In our fast-paced and demanding industry, it’s easy to get caught up in the daily grind. It's important that we pause for a moment and consider how often are we prioritising our mental well-being amidst the everyday hustle and bustle of our work?
You may have seen Irrigation Australia staff wearing TradeMutt workwear for a while now. Whether in the office, or in the classroom/on the field with students for training, our Senior Trainer & Assessor – Stuart Alexander never fails to sport his bright TradeMutt shirt every Wednesday for his midweek mental health check in. While the shirts certainly look good, they’re also a great reminder that you don’t have to be a mental health professional to simply start the conversation.
Irrigation Australia is also a proud supporter of TIACS, a free mental health support service tailored specifically for tradies, truckies, farmers, rural, and blue-collar workers. Our team chose to support TIACS as our Chair's charity after a tough few years for all in our industry. Visit the TIACS website to see why we are so passionate about it and explore their range of impactful services and resources!
